This is the second year of a three-year project building San Timoteo Episcopal Church in Nizao. The teams will also be working at the San Matías Church and School in Santana, Baní adjacent to the Morrow Center (our lodging).  We will be completing much needed repairs, painting and sealing the concrete roof. The school was constructed by the Tampa Deanery in 2002-2003.   There will be two one-week teams of up to 15 missionaries each:  Team I (June 10-17) and Team III (July 1-8) (Team II has been cancelled). Visit www.https://dominicandevelopmentgroup.org/ for details.  Questions? Contact Sally Thompson at tampasal@verizon.net or 813-760-5120 (cell/text).

Youth Mission Camp 2017

Do you love to help others?  Do you love summer camp?  Why not do both at the same time?!  All youth (rising 6th  graders through rising 12th  graders) are encouraged to sign up for Mission Camp this summer at DaySpring, from  July 23 through 28 .  We will join youth from across the diocese for a week of serving God and others, as well as taking advantage of all the things summer camp has to offer, including swimming, canoeing, the ropes course, and more!  As if that isn’t enough to entice you, Fr. Chase will be serving as one of the camp chaplains!  Be sure to visit  www.campdayspring.org  to register for Mission Camp or contact Fr. Chase for more information.

VBS Volunteers and Donations Sought
June 19 through 23

We continue to seek volunteers to fill the following open roles for VBS
(June 19 through 23) this summer:
Nursery Volunteers – We are planning to have the nursery available to watch the children of volunteers who are too young to attend the camp (3 and under). We are still looking for a couple of volunteers (adult OR youth) from the Parish to hang out with the littlest ones (under 3) from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day. Youth will receive service hour credits for their time.

Aftercare Volunteers – Aftercare will be available from noon to 5:00 p.m. each day for the week of VBS and we already have around 20 children signed up. This time will include seated lunch (kids bring their own), quiet time, outdoor play in the playground (requiring supervision), some crafts and theatre games, and perhaps a movie or two. We are hoping to staff this portion of the day with people who did not work in the morning so that no one gets burnt out from working both all week long!

Amazon Registry

Last but not least, if you want to help out but can’t donate your time, there are just a few remaining items that can be purchased from our Amazon Registry!
