The Rev. Chase Ackerman

Associate Rector, the Rev. Chase Ackerman, is a 2016 graduate from the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee.  A native of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, Chase received a Bachelor’s of Science in Naval Architecture from the United States Naval Academy in 2005 and spent eight years as an active duty Surface Warfare Officer.  He traveled extensively during his naval career, and enjoyed the opportunity to be stationed in numerous places, including the United States Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa and the United States Sixth Fleet in Naples, Italy.  Chase left active service upon receiving his call to ordained ministry and entered the General Theological Seminary in New York City, where he studied for a year and a half before transferring to Sewanee to complete his theological education.  During seminary, Chase had the pleasure of serving at both Saint Ignatius of Antioch Episcopal Church in New York City and the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lookout Mountain, Tennessee.

Chase is married to Jeanne, who is a native of Atlanta, and they have one son.
