St. John’s Children’s and Family Ministry offers many lively, spirit-filled activities.
Children’s Chapel
During each week’s 9:30 a.m. service, from the Gospel procession to the Peace, Children’s Chapel will take place in the Parish Hall. Children will begin in the main service in the Church, and then follow an acolyte out to the Parish Hall before the Gospel procession.
Children’s Chapel is a kid-friendly version of the liturgy from the main church service. We’ll sing a few songs, hear a children’s sermon, and have a child-led Prayers of the People. The children will return to the main church service at the Peace.
Sunday School
All Children and Youth Sunday School participants (Pre-K through 12th graders) come up to receive Communion first . They then exit into the church office hallway and check in at the Sunday School check-in table near the office door. After check in, students will go to their respective Sunday School classrooms. Parents can pick their children up from their classrooms at 11:15 a.m.
Wednesday Nights at St. John’s
In addition to our Sunday schedule of Adult Formation and Children’s Chapel, we have Wednesday evening formation for all! Join your St. John’s family for a delicious all-parish dinner at 6:00 p.m. followed by engaging offerings for all ages starting at 6:30 p.m.
For more information about any of these programs, please contact Ayana Grady, St. John’s Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries.
