Regular Children’s Ministry Activities

St. John’s Children’s Ministry consists of many lively, spirit-filled activities and classes for children from three years of age through 5th grade. Contact Ayana Grady, St. John’s Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries, with questions.

Sunday School for Children

Sunday School for children from 3 years old through 5th grade takes place during the 9:15 a.m. service in the Parish Hall (during the 10:00 a.m. service during the month of July). Children enter the church later in the service. During Sunday School, children receive a Bible lesson, do crafts, eat a snack, and do other activities that strengthen their faith and teach them about their Christian faith.

If you would like to enroll your child in Sunday School, please download and fill out our Sunday School Registration Form 2019-2020 and return it to the parish offices.

If your child is already enrolled in Sunday School but your contact information or family details have changed since last year, please click here to download our Current Family Update Form to complete and return to the Parish Offices at your convenience so that we can stay in touch!

Services for Families

Please return here in the coming months for see news about resumption of our Family Services.

Our monthly services for families with small children take place on the last Sunday of each month, September through March (no service in December), at 9:15 a.m. in the Parish Hall. The monthly Family Service is a casual and kid-friendly alternative to the formal service in the church, allowing us to introduce our youngest children to Episcopal lessons and traditions in a more relaxed environment. All are welcome and encouraged to attend!

If your child is interested in reading a lesson or the prayers for an upcoming Family Service, please contact Ayana Grady, St. John’s Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries.
