St. John’s carries on its tradition of creating the finest Anglican-style music in the area with our organ and choir at the 9:30 a.m. service on Sundays.
Music Programming
St. John’s is known across Tampa Bay and, indeed, throughout the country, for the quality of our musical program. Hymns and choral pieces in the rich tradition of Anglican music are highlights of the 9:30 a.m. service each Sunday, and concerts and Evensong where longer pieces are performed are part of the St. John’s Music Series each year. In fact, the quality is so high, parishioners frequently cite the music at St. John’s as one of the reasons they chose to make St. John’s their church home.
Guided by Organist and Director of Music Simon Morley, the choir of men and women adds dignity to our worship. The 9:30 a.m. service is full of favorite Christian hymns and stirring choral works, appropriate for the service that most St. John’s families choose.
