David and his wife, Tina, have been parishioners at St. John’s for 24 years. All of three of their children, Marc (22), Molly (20), and Emmy (17), were baptized at St. John’s. Molly and Emmy attended St. John’s Parish Day School. David and Tina taught Sunday School when their children were young. Molly and Emmy served stints in the St. John’s choir. St. John’s has long been the cornerstone of the Adams family.
David is a CPA and attorney, specializing primarily in management employment law and intellectual property. David normally attends the 8:00 and 9:15 a.m. services.
David has held a number of positions and has been active in many St. John’s ministries. He has been a long-time usher at St. John’s. He was in the Father’s Ministry for many years and was a driver for Angel Tree. He served as an annual canvasser and chaired the St. John’s Every-Member Canvas. David was elected to a three-year term on the St. John’s Vestry following Father Peterson’s retirement. After serving on the Vestry nominating committee in his last year, David was appointed as the Head Teller (vote counter) for many St. John’s Annual Meetings. After his service on the Vestry, he was appointed to the St. John’s School Board, where he served two three-year terms. He chaired the selection committee to recruit and hire the St. John’s Parish Day School Head. In his last year, David served as the President of the School Board, during which time enrollment increased and the school facilities were expanded and improved.
After a brief break in service, David has a strong desire to serve the church in an active leadership role. David is on the Board of Leadership Tampa Bay, is a past President of the Parkland Estates Civic Club, and is a member of Tampa Yacht & Country Club. When he is not at work or church, he enjoys fishing, boating, running, and spending time with his family.
