I am writing to inform you of some personnel changes at St. John’s Church.
All Saints Episcopal Church in Tarpon Springs has called Janet Tunnell to serve as their Priest-in-Charge effective June 1 . Janet has accepted their call.
Our Director of Children’s Ministries and Parish Life Whitney Wolf’s husband, Ian, expects to be transferred to the Pentagon in the near future. Whitney will be with us this summer and will continue to be fully engaged in the planning and operation of Vacation Bible School.
Fr. Ackerman’s youth ministry responsibilities will be incorporated with Whitney’s current responsibilities, creating a new full-time position, Director of Ministries to Children, Youth, and Families. We will conduct a search, with the assistance of Ministry Architects, for a qualified lay person to fill this position. Chase will become Associate Rector with primary responsibility for our pastoral care, outreach, and parish life ministries.
The Bishop has named Deacon Moore Archdeacon of the Diocese. Kathleen, reporting to the Bishop in this role, will now have diocesan duties as she continues to serve St. John’s as our parish Deacon.
