Easter Egg Painting Party – This Saturday
Saturday, April 8, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Parish Hall
Join us in the Parish Hall this Saturday to paint some eggs, partake in fun seasonal crafts, and enjoy friendship and light refreshments. We ask for a small donation and a dozen pre-filled plastic eggs to be used on Easter Sunday in the Egg Hunt. And remember – DRESS FOR MESS
This Sunday is Palm Sunday – Bring the Kids Early!
Sunday, April 9, 9:00 a.m., Church
Please plan to bring your children to the Parish Hall by 9:00 a.m. this Sunday so that they have the opportunity to take part in the Processional through the Church with palms at the opening of the 9:15 a.m. service. We will assemble the children in the Parish Hall and then head over to queue up in the back of the church shortly after 9:00 a.m. After the Processional, children will be led by their teachers back to Sunday School and returned to the church at the Peace, as usual.
Nursery Hours During Holy Week
In addition to our regular Sunday hours, the nursery will be open for children three and under as follows:
  • Maundy Thursday, April 13:  6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
  • Good Friday, April 14:  11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Easter Vigil (Saturday), April 15:  6:00 to 10:00 p.m.
Easter Is Coming… Don’t Forget your Flowers, and Fill Your Blue Boxes!
On Easter Day, April 16, we will have a short Flowering-of-the-Cross ceremony at 9:00 a.m. prior to the Family Service in the Parish Hall. We encourage families to bring flowers and their blue boxes and partake in this special event!

Seeking Volunteer Babysitters to Help Staff the Nursery
We will be providing staffed nursery services for volunteers during VBS and are hoping to find a few motivated and enthusiastic volunteers to help out. Hours will be 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Monday, June 19 to Friday, June 23. Youth volunteers can receive service credit hours for this job!
Seeking Huddle Coaches to Lead Conversation
A great gig for youth and adults alike, Huddle Coaches will be responsible for a small group of 6 to 8 children throughout the week of VBS, keeping them together at rallies, accompanying them to their sport, and leading the daily “huddles” by sharing relevant stories and facilitating conversation. No athletic ability or interest is necessary, just a love of sharing the Word of the Lord with our children. If you’re interested, please sign up by clicking here or contact Whitney Wolf for more information.
Donations Appreciated
If you want to support Vacation Bible School at St. John’s this summer, but aren’t able to volunteer your time, there is another way you can help! Please click here if you’d like to donate supplies from the list! Each item costs less than $20 and will go a long way in creating a fun and meaningful experience for our attendees. If you see something on the list that you already have at home and would like to donate instead of purchasing, just contact wwolf@104.237.132.142 to arrange for it to be picked up, or you can drop it off at the parish offices anytime!

High School Happening
April 28 through 30
Happening is a unique high school experience weekend at DaySpring that helps teens foster a personal more meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ.  During a Happening weekend, participants will experience the love of Christ through music, talk, prayer, worship and a community led by fellow students, all of which is supported by clergy and lay adults.  The weekend is designed as a one-time encounter for high school youth in 9th through 12th grades.
The next Happening (#74) will occur on the weekend of April 28 through 30, and participants must be registered by April 14.  Anyone interested in this amazing weekend should contact Fr. Ackerman
or visit the Happening website at https://www.episcopalswfl.org/Youth%20and%20Young%20Adult/happening.html

EYC Meetings in April
EYC usually meets on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, but because Easter falls on the 3rd Sunday this year, we will not meet on April 16. However, all youth are encouraged to come to the Parish Picnic on Sunday, April 23, immediately following the combined service at 10:00 a.m.  It will be a great opportunity to share food and fellowship, as well as have some fun with friends.  See you there!
Contact Fr. Chase Ackerman with questions about youth events or if you would like to help out.
