Join us in the courtyard after the 8:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. services to celebrate the first Sunday of Advent by decorating a beautiful wreath that you can take home and enjoy for the rest of the Christmas season! Casting Call for Baby Jesus!
We are searching for someone in the parish who has welcomed a new baby in the past month or is expecting one in the very near future, and would like their new addition to “star” in this year’s Christmas Pageant (December 24, 4:00 p.m.) as the one-and-only Baby Jesus. You will stay with your baby throughout the short (20 minute) play and will also be involved choosing the “manger” he or she is placed in, to ensure the utmost comfort for you and your child. The Christmas Service of Lessons and Carols is one of the most beautiful and traditional Anglican services we have, and we do it right at St. John’s! We will not have our regular meetings on December 4 so that we can all attend this service with our families. The Lessons and Carols service will take place in the church from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.
EYC Volunteering at Feeding Tampa Bay
Christmas is a very joyous time of year, but it can also be very difficult for those in our community who are in need. St. John’s EYC will volunteer at Feeding Tampa Bay’s major distribution event on Saturday, December 17
from 7:30 a.m to 1:00 p.m. Contact Father Ackerman to sign up youth volunteers and adult chaperones for the event. Check the website for updated information!

EYC Food Sign Up
It takes a lot to make a successful youth group, but most of all it takes FOOD, and EYC at St. John’s is no exception! A major part of our meetings is the fellowship and fun we have while sharing a common meal together with both the Junior (6th through 8th grades) and Senior (9th through 12th grades) EYC groups.
