The Third Sunday After Pentecost

In today’s sermon, Deacon Kathleen Moore teaches us to ask God what we are to do in these trying times.  We are called to take action, like the Samaritan, and practice the ‘Costly Grace’ that requires us to respond to the needs of the world.

“In treacherous times when powerful people or systems threaten us or others, we have to discern what God wants us to do, and we have to accept that doing it will cost us something.”

Today’s readings are Jeremiah 20:7-13, Romans 6:1b-11, and The Gospel According to Matthew 10:24-39.  You can follow along by reading our online service bulletin by clicking on this link.
