The Twelfth Sunday After Pentecost

In today’s sermon, Fr. Reho preaches about the many ways in which Jesus’ identity is stolen or shifted and his teachings are misinterpreted.  During Jesus’ lifetime, many of his followers tried to put him in a box and define his identity based on those who had come before him.  It is surprisingly easy to steal or shift Jesus’ identity, because his teachings are so radically different from the world around us.

Today’s readings are Isaiah 51:1-6; Romans 12:1-8 and the Gospel According to Matthew 16:13-20.  You can follow along with our online bulletin by clicking on this link.
