ST. JOHN’S CALLS RECTOR

chip_connelly_smThe Wardens and Vestry are pleased to announce, with the full agreement of the Right Reverend Dabney T. Smith of the Diocese of Southwest Florida, that the Reverend Charles Evans Connelly has been called as the Sixteenth Rector of Saint John’s Episcopal Church and Parish Day School.   This occurred by a unanimous vote at a special called meeting of the Vestry held on Wednesday, July 9, 2014.

Father Connelly was graduated from The General Theological Seminary in 2007.  He was ordained to the Diaconate by Bishop Smith on June 2, 2007, and to the Sacred Order of Priests on December 9, 2007.  He served Saint John’s as Associate Rector and Chaplain to the School from 2007 until 2013, when he was appointed the Bishop’s Vicar and then Priest-in-Charge.

The Vestry is very thrilled that Fr. Connelly has accepted this call to serve Saint John’s.  We look forward to continued renewal and growth under his guidance.
